What Is The Night Drop?

The Night Drop is a retro video store that lives in your browser. Walk through a 3D Blockbuster-style store using WASD and mouse controls. The shelves are stocked with this week's actual new movie releases. Grab a tape off the shelf, read the back, find out where to stream it. There's a curated vaporwave and smooth jazz playlist running in the background.

It's a novelty utility — genuinely useful information (real current movies, updated every Friday) wrapped in a completely unexpected experience (you physically walk through a store).

How It Works

• Movie data comes from TMDB and refreshes every Friday
• The 3D store is built with Three.js
• Hosted on Cloudflare Pages with edge caching
• No accounts, no tracking, no ads

Controls

• WASD or Arrow Keys — Move
• Mouse — Look around (click to lock cursor)
• E or Click — Grab a tape / interact
• Shift — Walk faster
• Escape — Pause / release cursor

On mobile: virtual joystick for movement, swipe to look, tap to interact.
